A Bronx born New Yorker, Malone earned degrees from the School of Visual Arts and from Columbia University and subsequently taught studio and art history courses at the Art Department of Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, where he completed the third decade of his tenure as Art Gallery Director.

His paintings are represented in the collections of the Elizabeth deC Wilson Museum in Manchester, Vermont, The Munson-Williams-Proctor Museum of Art in Utica, NY, and in the Coupelouzous Museum, Athens Greece, as well as many corporate and private collections in the USA, France and Jordan. 


HIs exhibition and book reviews have been published in Hyperallergic, Artcritical, the Brooklyn Rail, the New Criterion and Hamptons At Hub. He currently lives and maintains a studio north of the city.
