A Bronx born New Yorker, Peter Malone holds degrees from the School of Visual Arts and from Columbia University. From 1985 to 2014 he taught at Kingsborough Community College, CUNY, completing his tenure with a ten-year stint as Art Gallery Director.


His paintings are represented in the collections of the Munson-Williams-Proctor Museum of Art in Utica, NY; the Elizabeth deC Wilson Museum in Manchester, Vermont; the Coupelouzous Museum in Athens Greece; and in corporate and private collections in the USA, Europe and the Middle East. 

 

His art exhibition and book reviews have been published in Hyperallergic, Artcritical, the Brooklyn Rail, the New Criterion, Hamptons At Hub and Two Coats of Paint. (see 'Published writing" link on left menu) He currently lives and maintains a studio in Westchester County, NY.
