A Bronx born New Yorker, Peter Malone is a painter, critic and curator who holds degrees from the School of Visual Arts and from Columbia University. From 1985 to 2014 he taught at Kingsborough Community College, CUNY, completing his tenure with a ten-year stint as Art Gallery Director.

His work has been reviewed in the New York Times, the Manchester Journal, VT. Artcritical.com and other publications. His paintings are represented in the collections of the Munson-Williams-Proctor Museum of Art in Utica, NY; the Elizabeth deC Wilson Museum in Manchester, Vermont; the Coupelouzous Museum in Athens Greece; and in corporate and private collections in the USA, Europe and the Middle East. 


As an art critic, he has written for Hyperallergic, Artcritical, the Brooklyn Rail, the New Criterion, Hamptons At Hub and Two Coats of Paint. (see 'Published writing" link on left menu) He currently lives and maintains a studio in White Plains, NY.
